IRU U15 Boys win Tough Division at Fairport
The boys played a tough championship game against a team that beat them 0-3 earlier in the tournament. They came back from a 0-1 deficit to tie the game in regular time. Two over-time periods was not enough to break the tie and it came down to penalty kicks. After the first set of 5 PKs, the teams remained tied and had to go to a 6th where IRU was able to bury it in the upper corner and a save by our keeper won the CHAMPIONSHIP!
Camden Tournament U16 Champs
A select group of 9 IRU boys went to Camden to play in a U16 small sided 7v7 tournament where they prevailed as champions. After tying the first 2 games (2-2 and 0-0), theymanaged to win the third game (1-0) and the Championship came down to needing a tie inthe forth to win on points. The boys were able to hold it together and come back from a 0-1 deficit and win 2-1 to secure enough points to claim the CHAMPIONSHIP!
