    Kevin Culbertson, Assistant Coach, Under-16 Girls

    Coach Culbertson brings his talents as a player to Indian River United.  Coach Culbertson played soccer throughout his years at Indian River High School.  He is active in the community by serving on various organizational boards and now will take his sideline participation to the next level.  Coach Culbertson has his E-license Certificate.

    Sarah Lepenven, Coach,  Under-11 Boys

    Andrew Kilionski, Assistant Coach, Under-11 Boys

    Andrew has been voluntarily coaching youth soccer for three years working with all boys ages 8-15.  He is currently enrolled in the New York State Young Coaches Initiative and hopes to obtain his “E” license certification within the next year.  Andrew has played soccer since the age of seven; including four years of high school, three of them at the Varsity level.  He also played one year of college soccer and still plays in competitive leagues around the North Country.  Andrew currently attends Jefferson Community College and is planning to graduate in May 2010.   Post graduation, he will be attending SUNY Cortland and will be working to receive his Masters Degree in Physical Education with a minor in Health Management.  Andrew expects to remain in the area and coach young players around New York State and bring the knowledge of the game to the many players who have already expressed a strong desire and passion for the wonderful game of soccer.

    Fred Lavancha, Coach, Under-18 Boys

    Coach Lavancha was recently named Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach at Indian River Central. Coach Lavancha brings a tremendous amount of experience to the soccer program, not only as a coach but as player. Coach Lavancha was a very successful Junior Varsity Soccer Coach at Carthage Central Schools.  Currently teaches 8th Grade History at Indian River. Fred has contributed to athletics at Indian River as the Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball Coach and Head Girls Lacrosse Coach.

    Holly O’Brien | Under-13 Girls

    Holly has actively grown as a coach in our club. Holly has participated as a youth development league coach for multiple years. Holly has grown her knowledge through coaches clinics offered by national thought leaders like Jeff Pill ( US Women National Team Staff Coach) and Pat Farmer (Syracuse University Women’s Coach). Holly brings her spirit as a 7th grade math teacher at Indian River Central school and  her competitive college athletic experience from Oswego State to the soccer field. Her on going passion for the game will be true asset to the U-13 Girls program.   Holly is now  E-license Certified and Intermediate Certificate.

    Allison Godin | Under-11 Boys

    Allison was a 3 year midfield starter at Londonderry High School for the Lancer’s varsity girl’s soccer team.  Allison earned her B.S. degree in Early Childhood education from Fitchburg State College where she participated in cross country and track and field.  She participated in the national collegiate track and field championships in 1984.  Allison comes to the club with a variety of coaching experience to include 2 years varsity high school track, 6 years modified track and field, 2 years modified soccer, and numerous years at the club soccer and development levels.  Allison has a strong background and philosophy for youth athletics and continues to improve her knowledge though USYSA coaching clinics.

    Edward Malinoski | Under-13 Boys

    Coach Melinoski brings his talents as a player to the coaching side line. Coach Melinoski has proudly served our country in the United States Army and brings discipline and wealth of knowledge to our U-13 Boys soccer team.

    Dan Godin | Under-15 Boys

    Dan was recruited to Division 1 Wake Forest to Run Track and Cross Country.  Dan ran a 4:09 Mile. 1984 he was ranked 3 in the nation for the high school mile. 1984 Won the New England outdoor championships. He participated in the World University cross country meet. Coach Godin has maintained on going training with USYSA and has his intermediate coaching and holds his Class “E” USYSA coaching license.  Dan brings his knowledge in strength and conditioning to the soccer field.   Dan was recruited to  Division 1 Wake Forest. Coach Godin proudly serves in the United Stated Air Force. Recently Indian River United Soccer club dedicated an Award on behalf of Coach Godin. The Dan Godin Award is awarded to an individual each year who shows dedication and hard work to soccer at Indian River.
